The story follows Shige Suganuma of MOONEYES and Japanese-American Chico Kodama—two enthusiasts who share a deep passion for American hot rods. Together, they rescued the iconic American race and auto parts manufacturer MOON Equipment Company and rebuilt it into what is known today as MOONEYES.
The film captures their dedicated effort while also tracing how they inherited the spirit of Dean MOON, founder of the original MOON Equipment Company, and continued to spread hot rod culture.
This two-hour feature documentary took four years to complete and comprehensively chronicles the history of MOONEYES.
